effective solutions for people with complex health problems

>>> WHY COME TO ME

I wrote this section to introduce myself to the prospective patients. Here I explain how I practice and how I think.
  • I emphasize effective, safe, rational, and compassionate care that offers rapid relief and a long-range view.
  • You want that particular problem to go away. I hear that loud and clear. It's important to realize however, that treating the whole body is not just a philosophical concept — it is the best and the most effective way to eliminate specific diseases. I strongly believe that, and my clinical experience proves it.
  • I don't treat individual symptoms and lab reports. Instead, I focus on identifying and addressing the underlying cause of a problem — if I am successful, the symptoms disappear and the lab reports become normal. I have seen it time and time again.
  • It is YOUR health. I will provide you with knowledge, expertise, instructions, research, education, support, and encouragement; but I will also require your active participation and engagement. You will have to take responsibility — there is no alternative.
  • My medicine is practical. I have a family and a small child, I commute to my clinic, and I understand life's daily stresses and demands. Your treatment plan will not be detached from your reality — it will only make it better.
  • In the US, the average time a doctor spends with a patient is 4 to 8 minutes per visit. I don't see how health can possibly happen in such a timeframe. My typical initial appointment is 1 hour and 15 minutes. I will not rush you out with a prescription. I will take time to understand your situation, and I will explain your options.
  • Pharmaceutical drugs — yes, they are necessary at times, but they are severely over-prescribed and overused. Overmedication in hospitals is among the leading causes of death in the United States. First do no harm! My medicine is safe.
  • I focus on digestive health and gastrointestinal disorders. Why? Because a healthy digestive system contributes to 80% of success when treating even the most complex chronic conditions. Complex chronic conditions are, naturally, my other area of specialty.
  • I respect randomized double-blind studies and trials, the golden standard of modern medicine. I read these studies daily, and I learn a lot from them. However, I treat every patient as a real person, not as statistical data.
  • Some things we cannot control, but almost all chronic diseases have its cause which is within our control. These diseases develop over time. I will do everything I can to ease your pain, suffering, and discomfort as quickly as possible. Yet, the same way diseases take time to develop, true healing takes time to manifest. If you have been sick for the last few years, please don't expect unrealistic results overnight.
  • My medicine is very powerful and effective. I love it and I practice it with passion. But I am not dogmatic about it. If I feel that you need another practitioner or a specialist — I will let you know. Many of my patients come to me as their last resort, but lately I am seeing more and more patients for whom naturopathic medicine is their first choice. I am very pleased with this trend.
  • I will cost you. I will cost you less than you spend on eating out or trendy coffee drinks. Most women spend significantly more on their hair. If, because of my treatment, you will be taking fewer over-the-counter or prescription medications; if you avoid a couple of sick days a year — you will pay your bill. Besides, chances are, as a co-lateral result of my treatment, your hair will look better and healthier. In other words, I am worth every dollar.
